Kings Langley Cricket Club News story

Saturday 15th June - The report!

16 Jun 2019

You'll never guess what... it was another frustrating day for Kings Langley on Saturday!

It all started so well...

The weather held off so The Common was once again filled with young people playing and enjoying the game we love.

Afterward, the lunch was held to thank Gillian Holroyd for all her contributions and support for the club we all love.

And then we may have proceeded to lose all three games in the afternoon...

In the next 24 hours or so, the KLCC Website will be updated with full scorecards and match reports.

In the meantime, you will find all sorts of information attached to fill you in on how things are going.

Let's celebrate the successes...

In the 1st team, Jay Williams produced a 5-wicket hall to earn his place on the KLCC Honours Board.  He was supported by Liberty Maher who took 2 wickets before top scoring with the bat.

In the 2nd team, Andrew Colquhoun increased his season run total by 3200% as he top scored with 32. Toby Hendy led the way with the ball picking up 3 wickets.  He was supported by Sam Wheeler who also collected his first wicket for the club.

In the 3rd team, Tony Thompson, Russ Knights and Tom Templeton all claimed two wickets - the latter being particularly miserly in a spell of 8-3-7-2.  David Peters and Ben Templeton also picked up their first wickets for the club.  Warwick Smith led the charge with the bat, falling for 56 and only the 5th half-century in the club this season.

Keep your eyes on our KLCC Facebook Page throughout the week for updates on the Fantasy League, World Cup Prediction Competition and our weekly "Thursday Trivia" challenge.

I hope you have a great week.

Best wishes,

Rich
