Kings Langley Cricket Club - Junior Cricket

KLCC Junior Section

Kings Langley Cricket Club offers an inclusive, safe and fun environment for children to learn to play cricket.

For 5 to 8 year olds we offer the ECB’s excellent ‘All Stars’ program as an introduction to the game (https://www.ecb.co.uk/play/all-start). The program runs on Sunday mornings from mid May through to July. If your child is interested in joining us please register via the ‘All Stars’ website, or send an email to the address below.

Children also have the opportunity to join the junior section up to the age of 15. Please use contact details below to get in touch and we can discuss how and when this can be achieved.

The junior section is committed to developing the skills and aspirations of the young players. As the children’s skills develop we look to move them from the ‘All Stars’ squad into age group squads that offer more challenging training sessions and play in the Hertfordshire Junior leagues. These squads also train on Sunday mornings and play their matches midweek.

We have a very good track record of supporting young people into representative cricket, be that as part of District, Area or Full County Teams.

When the young people are ready to try their hand at adult cricket (usually around 14 years and up) we offer the opportunity to play for our Sunday side. This side plays local teams in friendly matches that aim to help the young people to gain the skills and confidence to play senior cricket. This provides a secure base from which they can progress to the senior sides, playing in the Hertfordshire leagues.

Kings Langley Cricket Club has a serious focus on developing local talentthe majority of the current 1st team started playing at the club as juniors. As a club we are literally and figuratively at the centre of the village.

If you have any questions about how to introduce your child to cricket please do get in touch.
