It is now a week since over 50 members gathered together a fun-filled night to celebrate the 2019 season. Thank you to all who came and enjoyed the evening - it was great to see a room full of faces new and old that represented all parts of our wonderful club.
Whilst we raised a bonus £140 for the Nets Fund in the most long-winded raffle in known history (that in no way upset anyone when my wife won the jackpot!), we also presented trophies to some deserving winners.
We awarded prizes for performances across the whole club, regardless of team or combination of teams played for. The full list of winners and top performances from the season is attached, a list of winners is as follows:
PRESIDENT'S AWARD - For outstanding on-field contributions - Ian Smith for 15 years of umpiring
CHAIRMAN'S AWARD - For 'best' newcomer (based on Fantasy League Points) - Jay Williams (470 points)
MOST RUNS - Harry Sambrook (368 runs)
MOST WICKETS - Ben Joyce (23 wickets)
MOST CATCHES - Jack Stokes (14 catches)
MOST STUMPINGS - Nick Jones (2 stumpings)
MOST BOUNDARIES - Sifan Naeem (41 fours and 3 sixes)
MOST MAIDENS - Ben Joyce and Duane Smith (18 maidens)
MOST RUN OUTS - Rich Davis and Jay Williams (2 run outs)
MOST DUCKS - Tony Thompson, Nauman Hijaz and Hadi Rizvi (4 ducks each)
We were also able to announce the winners of the KLCC Fantasy League with the top 5 teams as follows:
5th - Sifan Naeem (4615 points)
4th - Rob Clark (4649 points)
3rd - Christian James (4657 points) - £19.50 CASH PRIZE
2nd - Jack Stokes (4903 points) - £32.50 CASH PRIZE
1st - Tom Clark (4999 points) - £52 CASH PRIZE
