Kings Langley Cricket Club News story

What's On At KLCC?

19 Jul 2019

It's your Friday night preview of the weekend's activities.

The weekend starts on Saturday morning with some Junior Age groups training - although All Stars has now finished.

Thank you to all the coaches, managers and volunteers who have supported the Junior players this season - and many of those same people were involved in organising last week's Race Night that raised around £750 towards the Nets Refurbishment Fund.  An incredible effort - and thank you to all who attended, donated and sponsored - we hope you had a fun night.

There are three Senior fixtures on Saturday afternoon.  The 1st XI travel to Langleybury, the 2nd XI host Hatfield & Crusaders II, whilst the 3rd team are hoping Old Camdenians II will prove to be the victims of a 2nd successive win.

As things stand, we are playing with 10 in a couple of these teams, so if you read this and do fancy a game, it's not too late to message Rich Davis on 07809 697420 to get involved.

Obviously the weather forecast isn't looking brilliant - but hopefully things will turn out ok - and on that subject, you can read a weather-themed preview on Facebook right now!

The big event of the weekend is President's Day on Sunday, in honour of Roy Barter.  A Junior game starts the days activities at around 10am, followed by a 20:20 game from about 12.30 between 2 teams made of Kings Langley players past and present.  It would be great to see as many people as possible supporting the club and joining in to celebrate Roy's lifelong contributions to KLCC.

We look forward to seeing you at the club soon.

Many thanks

Rich
