It is a busy weekend at the club this weekend as the Kings Langley Carnival swings into town.
It is always a hugely busy day for the club and a huge thank you in advance to all who have volunteered to support the operation tomorrow. If you are at the carnival and things seem busy and you in a position to offer any help, do let someone know!
In terms of Senior Cricket, after a couple of tricky weeks for availability, it is fantastic to be able to let you know that we are back to a 4-team weekend this week!
Due to the Carnival and some confusion with the league over fixtures, the 1st XI are in fact playing on Sunday. They host Radlett 2nd XI on The Common, starting at 12noon.
On Saturday, the 2nd XI are travelling away to play Redbourn 3rd XI. With strong availability, they will be keen to return to winning ways after a couple of frustrating results.
For the 3rd XI, they have already won! Langleybury 4th XI have already been forced to concede which means that the remaining two teams will be playing friendlies. A huge thank you to Jamie C for tracking these fixtures down at short notice, in a week where he has been a big part of the effort to stock the bar for a mammoth weekend.
We have the "3rd XI" hosting West Herts 6th XI at the Steiner School and the "3A XI" travelling to play Abbots Langley 4th XI at Frogmore.
Good luck to all the players involved over the weekend - we are looking forward to some big performances and some new entries on the Top 10 Boards.
It is also fantastic to be able to bring you news of a fantastic win for the Under 12 XI on Wednesday night. Playing away at West Herts, the team produced a great performance as they compiled 128-6 in their 20 overs, before restricting the hosts to just 116-3 in reply to claim a 12-run win.
