The 2nd XI slipped to defeat on Saturday as Luton Town & Indian's total proved too much. The visitors had compiled 228-8 in their 40 overs, with Ed Thackeray (2-26) and John Battams (2-40) the main wicket takers. Perhaps it was the shock of a Sifan Naeem catch and run out in the same innings, but in reply the batters couldn't quite keep up with the rate as wickets fell. Naeem was the top scorer with 41 and Radleigh Tant continued his fine form with 35 but they would be dismissed 64 runs short of their total in the 36th over.
