Captain Mark Brazier led from the front on Saturday as an impressive all-round performance helped the 1st XI to a comprehensive 81 run win against Hertford 2nd XI.
Batting first, Brazier (45) and Paul Ashford (44) worked hard for their runs as Kings managed to post 211-9 from their 50 overs, aided by a free-flowing unbeaten 26 from Rob Clark at the end of the innings.
In reply, Hertford lost wickets regularly and were always under pressure as the bowling unit all contributed. However, Brazier was in irresistible form, finishing with 5-16 from 8 overs, the best 1st XI figures of the season so far.
