The 2s produced their best performance of the season so far in beating Northchurch by 45 runs.
Kings Langley posted an impressive total of 257 with contributions coming from several players. Sam Siraj top scored with 68, whilst Danny Knights (43), Arshad Joonoos (40) and Spencer Snowball (35) all made valuable totals.
In reply, Tom Parry produced an excellent first spell, picking up 3 wickets with the new ball. However, the hosts built a strong partnership for the 4th wicket and seemed to be on top as they reached 150-3 in the 25th over. Michael Owens (2-42) and John Battams (2-42) managed to re-establish some pressure and both made critical breakthroughs, enabling Iain Milton (2-31) to mop the tail and claim victory.
A strong team effort and 30 vitally important points as the battle to climb up from the foot of the table continues.
