The 4th XI put up a stern resistance but fell to a 6 wicket defeat as they hosted Chorleywood 4th XI on Saturday.
Dave Barton continued his solid form this season with the top score of 39, ably accompanied by Milan Bollegala (37) in a strong opening partnership. A late flurry of runs came via Freddie Davis' 15 not out as Kings Langley posted 160 - 8 from their 40 overs.
In reply, Chorleywood made steady progress towards their total and despite a good effort with the ball and in the field, Kings couldn't take enough wickets to get them under pressure. Ashley Chandler led the charge with 2-36, but Chorleywood reached their target in the 35th over for the loss of 4 wickets.
